Monday, 3pm, in the place I want to be,
painting the picture I want to paint.
I recognize a certain clear and resonant feeling, I create;
the feeling comes again and there is a new creation,
not defined by one position, never in a different place.

Water dissolving and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
-lyric from "Once in a lifetime", Talking Heads
"He won't come out of the water."
"But has he eaten lunch?"
"Not a bit."
"Four hours, really?"
"What a fish!"
"He must be freezing."
"Doesn't look like it."
"He's made another friend out there talking story."
"Look how good he is now, catching every wave and steering."
"I think I'll go and catch a few with him."
What pervades all planes,
What is this,
present at all levels,
reflecting the shape of the moment?
resting in awareness
feeling the tides
swept up in ease,
the world opens.
My first 'perfect moments' happened on vacation.
Back at home I felt that my 'normal moments' were incomplete because they lacked
the pleasurable sensations I associated with the best moments from travel.
Being away in an new environment makes it easier for me to access awareness and gives me extra time to practice. But more practice helps me see that perfection is always present, vacation or not.
|The forms come and go but I've never lost the source.|
An open vessel,
Taking the shape of the moment.
"When I see I am nothing, that is wisdom.
When I see I am everything, that is love.
My life is a movement between these two."
