|Some days I am able to glimpse just how strongly my immediate emotional needs condition the way I treat others and what I expect from them.|
|So busy writing, editing, painting, and cleaning that if I didn't grab 30 minutes mid-day to draw with a friend online I might not have sat down to draw at all today. How can I be anything but amazed and thankful when one creative project crowds out another?|

|I started posting drawings online in 2008 but the daily drawings on 5" X 6" cards started on this day in 1999 - seventeen years of introspective drawing, and I'm still fascinated, each day watching the creative process unfolding in strange and wonderful ways.|
|Red pencil doesn't smudge easily so I use it when I travel. Opening a show in the mountains of Virginia, I saw some old work of mine installed beautifully.|
